the handbook for revolutionaries part 1

Is there a single thing that would make you comprehend that as long as we shut up we still sanction them? My silence will convict me. As the parade continues on every bloodstained flag we sum up statistics still buried in the sand. With our silence we vote for continuation.

OK, once again it feels so much harder to write explanations to my lyrics than it was to write them in first place. Well, that's probably just how it feels when I know that I have to get the shit done. To pretentious, just wanting to explain so much. So much to do, so much to say.
Once again the fabulous group Embrace comes up. This was the last song we wrote and way into the recording I still hadn't written any words for it.
I was listening to Embrace and the beautiful line "my silence will convict me and the evil will carry on" flew by. I asked a couple of friends if it was too much to borrow it, and they all said no, so here's the chorus, the 5 words that sum up the entire record, my entire life. After that, everything I wrote seemed kinda pale, but somehow I managed to get it done just in time. But then, of course, I had to borrow from an old Refused album to.
So, there you have it. No matter how shitty the odds are, no matter how small I feel, I will always know that the day I shut up is the day that I lose.
So, if you think that something is wrong, scream, fight and show how you feel, get organized. Cause noone will fight for us. There will be no saviour but us, and we cant wait for anyone else to start. It's up to us. Now.
